Due to the hard work of Baywood residents, San Mateo developed a Baywood Traffic Action Plan in 2016.  The City is preparing to implement one of the key recommendations of the Plan, a Pedestrian Safety Improvement Pilot Project covering the Alameda de Las Pulgas-Parrott Drive intersection.  This area long has been a worry for all parents whose children attend Baywood Elementary or Aragon High School.
The San Mateo Department of Public Works has developed a conceptual layout of how they plan to increase pedestrian safety at this intersection.  They would like to share the design with Baywood residents and get our feedback.
Now is the time for you to have a real impact on the daily safety of our neighborhood, especially for our young people.  To share your feedback, please RSVP to  Please join us and bring Baywood neighbors!

Spring clean and help fund summer programs for San Mateo kids!  You've wanted to get rid of that set of chairs that don't fit in your family room any more, or you have slightly used toys that your children don't play with any more.  Make a list and plan to participate in the 2019 Baywood Annual Yard Sale.  You can sell items from your front yard or go in with Baywood neighbors at one of their homes.

This event always is a win-win. Baywood neighbors get to spring clean their homes while finding that "special something" that another neighbor is selling and also helping their community.  This year, for the first time, all proceeds from our Baywood Annual Yard Sale will benefit the San Mateo Police Athletic League, helping fund summer programs for San Mateo youth.

Your BOIA Board will create a map of all participating sellers in Baywood and promote it on social media and in our Baywood Bulletin monthly email.  We also will create banners and place them around Baywood to get people excited about our great Yard Sale.  If you are interested in selling items in the Yard Sale, or in helping to organize the event, please drop us a line at  Thanks!
